How this works
Practice or exam mode
Practice mode explains each answer straight away. Exam mode holds all answers until you finish, then shows a full review.
Shuffled answer order
Options are shuffled on every attempt, so you learn the idea rather than the position of the right letter.
Timer, flags and skips
A timer runs while you play. Flag questions to revisit them, or skip and come back from the question navigator.
Saved on your device
Scores, streaks and topic accuracy are stored in your browser only. There is no account.

JavaScript quiz FAQ
How many JavaScript quizzes are there?
There are currently 3 multiple-choice JavaScript quizzes with 21 questions in total, plus 1 interactive challenge. The numbers on this page come from the live quiz catalogue.
Which JavaScript quiz should I start with?
Start with JavaScript Fundamentals, the beginner-level quiz. Then work up through Intermediate, Advanced.
Are the JavaScript quizzes free?
Yes. There is no sign-up. Your scores and streaks are stored in your own browser.
Do the JavaScript quizzes explain the answers?
Yes. Every question has an explanation covering why the right answer is correct and why the tempting alternatives are not.
Do the quizzes cover Node.js or the browser?
These quizzes cover the language itself (ECMAScript), which applies to both.
Do you cover TypeScript?
No, these quizzes are strictly vanilla JavaScript. We plan to release a dedicated TypeScript roadmap in the future.
How is asynchronous JavaScript covered?
We have dedicated quizzes covering the event loop, Promises, async/await, and error handling. You will be asked to predict the console output of mixed synchronous and asynchronous code.
Why is JavaScript equality so tricky?
Because of type coercion. Our fundamentals quizzes explicitly test the difference between == and ===, and edge cases like comparing null, undefined, and objects.
